Most residents probably received their preliminary tax assessments this week. Looks like the
Fonz keep the assessments pretty much the same as last year. Now, the big question is will Smokey and the board hold the tax rate a bay? We all know the Fonz will not lower assessments - he's like an old tightwad and wants to get every penny's worth of assessment value.
It's a damn good thing the older life-time residents have Father Time looking out and helping them, or they would be in real trouble down there.

Yes ! Father Time has helped many of the older town residents fill out forms to the get tax breaks they are entitled to his help is greatly appreciated !
ReplyDeleteYes the Fonz has been quick to raise our assessments and has been slow dropping them .I wonder what he will do with the real estate market that has gotten clobbered .How will he not be able to drop assessments if houses start to sell below the assessed value . Which brings to mind the place he just bought on bonnieview for taxes. I'm sure way below assessed value . One will have to wonder if he'll continue to pay the old assessment ? ?
